Powerful Anti-Aging Role Models: More are Needed

Recently on "America's Got Talent" a 75 year old woman performed a song and dance routine. (This reference is not to the Rappin Granny who was outstanding.)

Before she began I mentally cheered her on with, "You go girl!" I was reminded of a CD an older woman sent to me that captured her singing performance at a local nightspot. She was fantastic. And why not. if Tony Bennett at 80 something can still sing, others can do it too.

As it turned out, the contestant did not have a million dollar talent. How I wish she had been sensational. Because we are living longer, healthier lives, we desperately need accomplished older role models to show us what's possible late in life.

I often mention Dr. Helen Harkenss, author of Don't Stop the Career Clock, who has inspired me more than I can say. (I can't reveal her age because I don't know it, she doesn't tell, and it doesn't matter anyway. It's her accomplishments that count, not her advanced age.)

Other role models of mine include 80 something David Oreck who still promotes his vacuum cleaners. Compare his sharp agile mind and youthful demeanor to that of many retirees his age whose brains and bodies have turned to mush.

Then there is 90 something Art Linkletter who writes books and does almost non-stop speaking gigs. When I was interviewed for his book, How to Make the Rest of Your Life the Best of Your Life, he and I disagreed about living in retirement communities, but we got beyond that. He has a flexible open mind and can see other points of view.

How about 90 plus Jack LaLanne, a testament to the benefit of lifelong super nutrition and exercise. He oozes energy. How can you watch his juicer infomercial and not want to buy two of them?

Recently, I watched a video that is truly awesome. I found it in "Celebrations" the official newsletter for Older Wiser Women. It shows 80 something Yvonne Dowlen Ice skating, and doing it very well. When I tell people I ice skate, (not very well, but determination springs eternal!) a common response is, "Aren't you afraid of falling?" Well, yes and no. I am more afraid of stepping off a curb and turning my ankle, which I have done on more than one occasion.

Fear is sometimes a healthy thing. It makes us stop and think. If forces us to face reality. On the other hand, unreasonable fear keeps us from doing what we want to do and know we could do if we tried. And if only we weren't held back by a nagging inner voice that warns, "Be careful. You're too old to do that." We need role models like Yvonne Dowlen to help us overcome an age-based irrational fear of trying.

The video also makes clear that if you want a youthful flexible body in your older years, you have to start early to keep what you have. You can't wait until you are 65, suddenly realize that you've almost completely lost all youthful competence and decide to try to recapture what's lost. While some improvement is always possible, the longer you wait to reclaim what's gone, the more difficult it is. A sedentary body rebels at being forced to do what it really doesn't want to do anymore. There is nothing worse than realizing "It's too late." As entertainer Eubie Blake was known to say, "If I had known I would live this long I would have taken better care of myself."

Whatever age you are now is a good time to take better care of yourself. The younger you are when you start the easier it is. And it's truly helpful if you can find an inspiring role model to look to for encouragement.

Servers: Just What Are They And Why Do We Need Them!

Servers at Your Service

Servers are what make it possible for you to view what you wish to view on the Internet. At its most basic level, what happens when using servers is that browsers connect to servers, requesting that a Web page be displayed. The servers then send back the pages requested. Internet browsers are what form the connections to Web servers that allow the page to be requested and then received by the end user.

There are three parts to a Web page address, better known as a URL. The first part of this URL is called a protocol. The first part of the address is called the protocol. Http is a protocol and stands for Hypertext transit protocol. The next part of the URL tells you the name of the server. In http://www.myWebSite.com , the server is MyWebSite. The file name is something like web-server.htm, for example.

Browsers communicate with name servers to translate those server names into IP (Internet Protocol) addresses, which is the way they connect to the machine that is acting as the server. Browsers connect by means of ports, all of which are numbered. Port 80, for example, is a common port number.

Every machine has its own unique IP. These addresses are made up of 32 bits, and are usually expressed in four groupings in a dotted decimal number. These groupings are known as octets. An example of an IP address written as an octet is 327.38.72.248 .

Servers have IP addresses that are static and seldom change. A home computer getting online through its modem often has an IP address that the ISP assigns when the machine gets online. The IP address is unique only for that session, so it can change each time the user uses it to get online. This is more efficient for the ISP, as it only needs to have one address for each machine that has dialed in, rather than saving a particular IP for each machine.

After the HTTP protocol, the browser sends a request to the server, called a GET request, which asks for the file. A GET request can also send cookies from browsers to servers. The next step is when the server sends the HTML text for that requested Internet page back to the browser. The HTML tags then read by the browser and subsequently format the page onto the users screen.

The Internet is made up of a huge collection of computers millions of them that are all linked by one common computer network. This computer network makes it possible for the computers to all talk to each other. A home PC can be linked to this Internet through dial up (a landline telephone carriers line), through DSL line, or a cable modem. All of these systems communicate with an Internet Service Provider (ISP.)

Generally, organization or business computers are linked to each other by means of a network so that they can share information in-house back and forth. They do this by means of a network interface card. This NIC then connects directly to a local area network (LAN) that is housed within the organization or business. This LAN is then connected to the associated ISP by what is known as a T1 line, a very fast and powerful connection to the servers.

ISPS connect to each other. The largest of these ISPs maintain the backbone of the entire system across the region or perhaps the country. This backbone is fiber optic. Through these fiber optic lines, satellite links or undersea cable, various backbones connect all over the globe. This is the way servers and clients the world over connect all to each other.

Bad Credit Unsecured Loan Despite, Financial Respite

It is the changing nature of man that he is susceptible to forget things in between. It happens more often than not, of taking various loans as per ones requirements; the man defers repayments due to lacking financial planning. Or, there are some who wish not to place any thing, still for availing a loan. For, the lending authority has configured a bad credit unsecured loan. This loan is offered without any sort of security placing.

Individuals having adverse credit history i.e., CCJs, IVAs, bankrupts, arrears, and defaulters attest special attention to the bad credit unsecured loan. Although, provisioning contains credit evaluation and borrowers repayment capacity and capability, owing to many lenders in money market for this loan gives a good attention to has shortened the processing time of the bad credit unsecured loan.

Amount raised by the lending authority under the bad credit unsecured loan is a minimum of 3, 000; this amount can be further increased up to 25, 000 too at best. The benefits of these loan amount borrowers get a period from 5 to 10 years.

This sanctioned amount is invested into various purposes of an individual. Renovation and improvement at home, childrens higher education, infrastructural development at businesses etc., are some of the benefits of the bad credit unsecured loan. More so, an act of debt consolidation under the bad credit unsecured loan too, is one of the best debt management a solution comes within the parameters of this loan.

In order to cover up the insurance of the bad credit unsecured loan, lenders charge a bit higher to other loans, as no collateral has been placed as of borrowers security. Lenders do not ask borrowers to offer any asset as security against bad credit unsecured loan offered. Lenders rely on borrowers profile, evaluate through information such as employment history, income level, recommendations, final payment of any previous loans etc. however, if a borrower defaults on a bad credit unsecured loan, the lender has no priority claim against any particular property of the borrower. The lender can try to obtain just a money judgement against the borrower. In such loans, the risk element is the highest for the lenders. Such lenders compensate their increased risk by offering lower amount and by charging a little higher interest. Lenders provide bad credit unsecured loan financial respite despite borrowers adversity of bad credits.

Lease Option To Buy Home Programs Popular With Bad Credit Home Buyers

Lease options to buy home programs are becoming increasing popular with those that have bad credit problems and can not normally qualify for a home mortgage loan, according to Jaime Polanco, real estate investor and President of AmeriVision Mortgage Corporation.

Many potential home owners believe that buying a home will overcome or fix a bad credit situation! They go from mortgage broker to mortgage broker looking for a loan that does not exist, rather than try and remedy the problem.

To qualify for a home mortgage loan the bad credit situation has to be fixed first, and not the other way around. Lease option to buy home programs provide that solution.

People who have benefited from a lease option to buy home program include those that are recently divorced, suffered bankruptcy, or where FICO credit scores are simply too low.

Lease option to buy home programs, also know as rent to own programs, are unlike regular mortgages because the applicant does not have to qualify for a loan.

The initial focus is on the ability to make monthly lease payments. As most are making rental payments anyway, this is not much of an issue. The second focus is on their future potential for purchasing the home.

Bad credit issues can be worked on, while living in the new home. Over time, most credit issues can be corrected.

Lease option to buy home programs make ideal alternatives for the self-employed, compared to traditional means of home ownership.

The original agreement for a lease option to buy home program states the purchase price the day the tenant moves in, and doesn't change. Any increase in the value of the home belongs to the tenant when the loan is closed.

Typically, with a lease option monthly payments are less than it would cost to own the same home. These monthly savings can be put away, and used to increase the down payment at the time of actual purchase."

Depending on the situation, a tenant can occupy the new home in just a few days or a move-in date can be scheduled around any current living situations.

A minimal down payment is required, or down payment assistance is available if needed. The down payment, and a monthly rent credit, will be deducted from the purchase price of the new home, reducing the amount of money needed at closing.

Lease option to buy home programs help tenants by improving their FICO score and they can look forward to home ownership in a relatively short period of time, concludes Polanco.

eCommerce Posting for Microsoft Dynamics GP overview for web developer

If you are integrating Microsoft Great Plains with you existing e-commerce front application, you are more likely deploying Microsoft Dynamics GP eConnect. This tool allows you to create or update master records: customer, address, credit card info; also you can create or update work documents Sales Order Processing (SOP) order or invoice. If needed, eConnect allows you to work with the majority of GP master records and documents: purchasing, payroll, inventory control and other modules (in some cases, eConnect doesnt work Invoicing module, for example, but it is not heavily used in ecommerce automation anyway). Some ecommerce integration models require automatic posting this is not possible if you use eConnect only. In this small article we describe Autoposting server technology:

Microsoft Dexterity posting engine. The heart of Microsoft Great Plains is well structured and allows Dexterity developer to submit the batch for posting and trigger posting process. In theory it looks nice, however if you are .Net C# or VB developer it doesnt look as the programming guideline for you: Microsoft Dynamics GP Dexterity is proprietary tool and it requires years of software development experience to program such intrinsic processes as instructions to post the batch

Posting Server approach. Autoposting server is Dexterity customization, which checks newly entered records in approved batches table it checks the table every few seconds and if the new record is there it initiates the posting process for you. All you need to do is to place approved batch records into the status table. Posting Server works with almost all the types of posting batches, however the most popular are Sales Order Processing batches, where we post SOP invoices

Other eCommerce integration options. If you need very light version of eCommerce integration, then you may decide to utilize stored procedures, placing Sales Orders into SOP10100 and SOP10200 tables, especially when you do not charge taxes and all your items are non-inventoried ones. This simplification might be efficient in light weight ecommerce scenarios. The reason, why we recommend you to create Sales Orders and not Invoices you should avoid complex GL Sales invoice distribution records. If you need to create records for inventory items, then we recommend you not to do automatic allocation it might be difficult to program inventory allocation in SQL scripts you can always do order allocation in GP later on

IPhone Cases Protect Your Baby From Harm

The Apple iPhone was introduced into the world, at least to the US, on June 29th 2007. Thousands of people clamored to be the first to get their hands on an iPhone and from most accounts, they are very proud of their new acquisitions. Though Apple provided the basic accessories required to use the iPhone, like most special things, it came into the world naked. So after investing $500 to $600 on an iPhone it only makes prudent sense to invest a few extra dollars in an iPhone case to protect it.

Initial product stress tests of the Apple iPhone have been quite impressive. Apple wisely switched to optical grade glass for the innovative touch screen of the iPhone and it is almost impossible to scratch it. Even with a key. This, however, doesnt mean it should be left unprotected and the rest of the iPhone is still prone to dings and scratches.

The solution to protecting your new iPhone is actually quite simple, though all the talk about skins, cases, wallets, and screen protectors can be a little bewildering. Dont worry, below are the options available for protecting your iPhone and the good news is that they typically cost much less than your monthly bill with AT&T.

Types of iPhone Cases:

*iPhone Skins -- a skin is just a cover that completely wraps around your iPhone with cutouts to allow you access to the touch screen, main navigation button, as well as the side buttons, charger, and camera. iPhone skins are made from silicone, which is a flexible, yet rugged type of plastic. The benefit of a skin, is that it will protect the surfaces of your iPhone from nicks and scratches and even offer some protection if dropped. However, dont rely on a silicone skin to offer you complete protection against drops.

IPhone skins come in clear silicone as well as several popular colors ranging from feminine pink to stealth black. Some iPhone skins also come with a screen protector and neck strap, but be sure to check the product details to make certain.

*Phone Cases and Wallets -- a step up in style and convenience is an iPhone case or wallet. Many of these cases also include a belt clip so you can keep your iPhone at the ready. Unlike cell phone holsters, a case or wallet fully protects your iPhone when not in use. Cases and wallets typically come in both leather and canvas varieties and in a wide range of styles. Chose the type that best suits your usage and expresses your personal style. You may even want several cases to match different clothing and occasions!

*iPhone Screen Protectors -- an iPhone screen protector typically is a piece of very thin silicone with an adhesive backing that covers the entire front of the iPhone. Like a skin, it also has a circular cutout to expose the main navigation button at the bottom of the iPhone. A skin can then be placed over the screen protector. Not all iPhone screen protectors are created equal though. The better ones have dust resistant and anti-glare properties. Many iPhone skins and cases already come with a screen protector so you typically dont need to purchase one separately.

An Apple iPhone is a truly innovative technology product that is a joy to own. Their owners have every right to be proud and can be forgiven, at least for now, for showing them off every chance they get. And you can tell a truly proud and worthy Apple iPhone owner by how they have chosen to dress up and protect their baby.

Understandign the progressive Resistance System

The progressive resistance system is the most forgotten system in bodybuilding today. It allows for any individual to monitor his/her progress and be assured that proper muscle hypertrophy takes place.

By using the progressive resistance system correctly, you will be able to monitor your strength increases and muscle growth better than any other system there is. Many people use the progressive resistance system and don't even know it. They instinctively know that this is the correct way to workout.

Ronnie Coleman once said in an interview in Flex magazine that he has basically used the same routine for many years that he does not change much from one workout to another, and he is Mr. Olympia many times over! How dare him use such a simple and effective system to develop one of the most freakishly phenomenal bodies known to man.

The progressive resistance system states "In order to continually see progress (muscle development) the intensity of the workout must increase as your body adapts the workout." I personally believe that there is only one true system that works it is the progressive resistance system. You start to use it as a novice trainer and 10 or 15 years later you are still applying it to your workout.

The progressive resistance system is the only system I use and the reason in obvious. All other system revolves around the principles of progressive resistance. I don't subscribe to other workout systems because they may cause injury and I have had enough in my time. Most champion bodybuilders follow the progressive resistance system in one form or another. They may employ other principles, like superset, tri-sets, giant sets, drops sets, railroad (this is old school) flush sets pre-exhaust sets, and post-exhaust sets and numerous others but the system remains the progressive resistance system.

How do I know a Principle from a System? Simple. A system is the application of principles, for instance; If I wish to continue to see results I must increase the intensity of my workout as by body adapts to the previous load. (Progressive Resistance System)

In order to increase the intensity of my workout I employ one to the principles discussed below. ( remember a system is the application of principles )

The Five Principle Ways to Increase Intensity There are five ways to increase the intensity of a workout they are; Increase the weight being used for a given exercise, Increase the amount of repetitions used in a given set. Decrease the amount of time resting between sets. Increase the amount of sets used during a given workout. And of course, any combination of the above four.

So if you are applying one of the five principles with the goal of increasing the intensity to match your body's adaptation to pervious stress of exercise, then you are using the progressive resistance system.

Reps Determine Weight used; Not the Reverse.

The repetitions ranges determine the weight not the weight determine the reps. What I mean by this is that the goal is a rep range, when doing the progressive resistance system, not the weight used. For instance, if you can only do 1-4 reps on your first set then you are a power lifter not a bodybuilder. One rep max are use only to determine what weight to use on muscle building sets. If you can only do 5-8 reps during your first set then I am doing heavy weight. If you can only do 9-12 reps during your first set then you are lifting moderate weight. And if you can only do 15- 25 reps then you are lifting light weight. Of course you understand that if you can only do these number on your first set then the numbers get less and less on all the set that follow. Further more I think for successful leg training you need more reps than the rest of the body, somewhere between 15 to 25 reps seem to work best for most.

Now when you do that same weight on your next workout for that body part you should be able to lift one to three reps more (Those not in very good shape see much better results than those is fairly good shape) on the first set, and maybe an additional rep or two on the sets that follow. When you can complete all the sets for the given number of repetitions then its time to increase the intensity (I suggest that for people with under a year of training that you only increase the weight)

Ok, when should I increase intensity and how? Real simple. Increase intensity for three reasons; To get bigger and more massive (in the winter months/ build size) To get deeper separation (spring or fall/ makes you stronger) To get define (late spring, summer, and early fall /Pick of dates)

Summer / Contest If you are trying to drop body fat develop deep cuts, and you are on a low carbohydrate, low fat or calorie restricted diet then intensity is increased by increasing the amount of reps being used on a given set. And the amount of set used in a workout. You may have to increase the duration of the workout by about 25% and drop the weight about 5 to 10% but I don't suggest a larger drop than that.

Many bodybuilders drop the weight so much during the contest and summer months in an effort to develop that ripped look that they loose muscle size. I don't believe in lowering calorie intake for diet I just increase aerobic activity.

Spring / Fall You should be either just starting to watch what you eat (spring), or are coming off a great diet (fall). In either case you need to increase your aerobic activity if its spring, and cut back the aerobics if it fall. This will allow you to more easily transition into the coming seasons and the workout style that is associated with them.

To increase intensity you will need to increase the amount of sets used during a given workout while holding the workout to the duration.

In the winter You will be on your mass cycle you will be getting as big and as strong as possible. You will have to drop the amount of sets in you workout. And increase intensity by increasing the weight being used. You workout should consist of all compound movements.

This is the time most people get injured. I suggest that you start with a weight and every 6 week you take two workout days off and drop all weights by one half the weight you increased over the last six weeks. For instanc eif during the last few week you increased the weight by 100 lbs you will take 50 percent of your increase weight and add it to you initial starting weight. That number will be your new 6 week cycle initial weight.

How To Choose A Good Potty Chair

Your child is starting to show some interest in potty training and is at the right age. So you race to the store to get your little one a potty. If youre like me, you didnt realize how many options there are these days when it comes to potty chairs. You will find little potties that sit on the floor, inserts for a regular toilet, character-based potty chairs and even models that come with sound and light effects. Which one will be right for your child?

Narrow down your search by deciding if you would like to go with a portable model that can sit on the floor, or a potty seat insert that will sit on top of your regular toilet. Using one of the inserts will make cleanup a snap since all you have to do is flush and occasionally wipe the seat. Some kids seem to be afraid to go in a regular toilet at first though. Since these toilet inserts are rather inexpensive, this may be a good start for you just to try it out. After your child gets used to potty training, she will start using the insert. Plus this model is very portable. You can take it with you when you go visit grandma.

If you suspect your child may be scared of the big potty, start with a simple and inexpensive plastic potty that you can sit in the bathroom. Look for a model with a stable base and a little spatter guard in the front.

If your child is a big fan of a particular character like Dora The Explorer or Elmo , you may want to purchase a potty chair with a sticker of her favorite. Of course you could also adorn any basic potty with a few stickers. This will make it a lot easier to convince a stubborn toddler to give potty training a try. Just tell her Dora send the chair and said it was time to get out of diapers.

If you have a few days or even weeks to choose a potty chair, shop around. You can find some great sales on potty chairs both at your local department and discount stores and of course online. Shopping around can make a huge difference if you (or your child) have your heart set on a more expensive model.

Now put that potty chair to good use and start getting your child potty trained.

Alert Your Kids To Spyware

If you share a computer with your kids, you are highly exposed to spyware threats. Spyware lurks around, waiting to take advantage of kids and teenagers' browsing habits. An antispyware and adware removal tool is your means to protect your machine. Educate your kids about spyware.

An antispyware and adware removal tool is essential for every computer, more so on the ones kids use. When children browse, Spyware preys on the surfing behavior of children, especially teens. When they download various programs these Trojans come bundled in it. A good example of this is the peer-to-peer music sharing programs, free games online, free screen savers and several song lyric sites that kids frequent. But if you educate your kids about spyware, and use antispyware software, you can fight spyware effectively.

The Things Spyware Does

Spyware can just invade your system and hijack your web browser. The sites that kids usually visit site trigger off endless popup windows on Internet Explorer and that's when you know you've been hit. This results in the slowing down or crashing of your pc. When your pc is infested with adware, it turns unstable and behaves strangely. Some forms of spyware called key loggers or dialers can automatically make expensive long distance calls or track everything you do by logging your keystrokes. This steals private information and passwords, not to mention credit card information.

Spyware Prefers Teenagers

More than the little kids, it's the teenagers that attract spyware more because of their browsing habits. Most of the sites they browse are full of free stuff. You pay the price with spyware. The peer-to-peer sharing network is the worst because these sites do not have any kind of antispyware policy and are fair game for spyware vendors. Teenagers are attracted by the freebies offered especially on sites that have to do with celebrities and entertainment. Added to these are the downloadable games, free emoticons and other stuff.

You must advise your kids that it is dangerous to download any thing from unknown sites. Tell them to beware of pop up windows that promise to clean up or scan your pc. They must know about companies that claim to sell antispyware but actually just lodge spyware into your system. Therefore it is necessary that you purchase antispyware software from a reliable company.

No Such Thing As A Free Download

The irony of the issue is that the spyware that proliferates in your pc is there because you agreed to it, without knowing you did. Kids get excited about getting free stuff, little knowing that they are consenting to install spyware and adware. Spyware is difficult to identify and by the time you realize it, it is too late. The best thing to do is to build awareness among your kids and encourage safe browsing and downloading patterns. Ensure that antispyware and adware removal tools protect your pc always.

A Quick Guide to White Wines

The color and characteristic of a wine is derived from the grapes used. In this article, we take a quick look at white wines commonly enjoyed by wine enthusiasts.

A Quick Guide to White Wines

When discussing white or red wines, it is always important to remember that much of the discussion falls into a bit of a fuzzy area. Why? Well, white wines are rarely white for the first thing. Second, many a winery actually mixes wines of all varieties together to produce a desired flavor and aroma. Thus, the white wine you are drinking may not be entirely white. Having said that, there is little reason to avoid discussing what are traditionally known as white wines.

The dominant grape in the white wines is undisputedly the Chardonnay. It is a rare day you can find any wine drinker who has not sipped more than a few Chardonnay whites. The wine is incredibly popular for a number of reasons. First, there is a lot of it because the vine can be grown practically anywhere and is! Second, the wine is known for an oak flavor, which is extremely popular with wine drinkers. Third, the wine is very flexible and can be produced with a wide variety of fruit aromas and flavors. Chardonnay white wines traditionally have been very dry and full bodied. With the wide range of wineries producing vintages, however, a wide variety of flavors and bodies are on the market.

Sauvignon Blanc should either be next or dead last on our list of whites. This is a take it or leave it grape. The taste is sharp and dry. This is a not a wine where you will find fruity mixes and such. It is a classic, traditional white that people either love or hate. Personally, I love it and it goes number two since I am writing this article!

Riesling white wines are next on our list. This is a German wine that is excellent if you buy from a German winery. You can find French and American wineries producing it, but it simply isnt the same. This is a light wine often described as refreshing although I must admit I have never understood that term. The Riesling whites take a beating by wine gurus, but you can find this dry, light white to be just the trick. It is markedly different than the Chardonnay, so give it a try.

There are a variety of other white grapes that are used to produce interesting vintages, but we are going to skip them to discuss a less-known grape that is up and coming. The Viognier grape is found in the Rhone Valley in France and is used to produce a flavorful, dry white that is excellent. It is typically a medium body wine with low acidity and often has a fruity aroma to it. It is a personal favorite that I suggest you try.

When it comes to white wines, there is no disputing Chardonnay is the king of the vine. Still, you should make an effort to move beyond the king to discover the interesting other vintages available.

Schools in the Las Vegas Schools that have cut their energy costs by 10% or more will receive rebates of between $1,500 to $5,000. These rebates will be placed in a special account fund and will total around $560,000. Schools will be allowed to use these funds on anything that could directly impact student learning and achievement. This energy saving fund rewards those schools that have made behavioral changes in how they use energy. Las Vegas Schools that qualify for the program are those that can show that they have at least two years of documented utility history and then show that they have cut their energy use by at least 10%.

This energy conservation program asks staff and faculty of Las Vegas Schools to keep school doors and HVAC systems, computers, lights, and electrical appliances turned off when not in use. Faculty are also asked to report lights, HVAC systems and refrigerators that are not operating.

Dating For Seniors: Senior Singles Finding Love Online

For the senior single, negotiating through the minefields of the dating scene can be scary. This need not be, as dating for seniors can be as much fun as any other age group. Plus mature dating brings forth a richness borne of maturity that's largely lacking in the younger generation.

One big challenge faced by the older single is that of lack of avenues geared towards dating for seniors. Night clubs and singles bars are particularly designed with this age-group in mind.

Actually, lack of places to meet other seniors may not be problem. There are plenty of places for this. The problem is getting to meet compatible senior singles who are actively looking for a date.

The internet offers perhaps the best chance for the senior single to meet like-minded mature singles for the purpose of dating. There are services that are dedicated to dating for seniors, where younger people are not allowed. Depending on the service, you must be at least 40 or 50 years old to join. These services are very active and vibrant.

Providing a place for seniors to gather and communicate, they offer superb matching services and a dozen ways to connect. Group or individual chat forums, email relay and other now-standard tools make safe, anonymous communication easy. Until the point you choose not to have it remain anonymous!

The number of people who might be referred to as, "mature", "prime", "middle aged", "third agers", or senior citizens and who are dating online is booming. Career demands, early retirement, rising divorce rates, and longer life expectancy mean that more people than ever before are single in their later years.

This has created a growing pool of older singles on online: you can be a total beginner to online dating and go from no date to lots of dates in a very short time.

And, online dating is cheaper and brings quicker results than traditional ways of meeting people.

However there are pitfalls to look out for. Safety is on top of concerns for senior singles dating online. Scam artists, both foreign and domestic, have been known to prey on this age-group. The presumption, right or wrong, is that this age-group is desperate and vulnerable. Don't lose your heart as well as your money.

One way of protecting yourself from being scammed is by signing up with a reputable senior singles dating service.

You also need to be careful how you interact with others online. Avoid revealing personal information such as your real name, work place or home address until you're pretty sure that your date is for real. Even then take it slow - don't tell too much too soon.

Toyota Is Hot In Us And Japan

Major car manufacturer Toyota has produced car models that have consistently ranked high in both the US and Japan market, specifically with regard to the Toyota Camry and the remodeled Toyota Corolla.

While the Toyota Camry has been the best-selling car in the United States for the past four years (2002-2005), back in Japan where Toyota is based, it is the Toyota Corolla that has been the best selling vehicle. Reports say there were 70,675 units of the Toyota Corolla sold from January to June this year. That total is actually a decrease of 11.7% from their total sales during the same period a year ago.

According to figures from the Japan Automobile Dealers Association, the Toyota Corolla has actually been the best-selling car in Japan for the last four six-month periods. Toyota actually released a fully remodeled Corolla in August 2000 and its impressive sales performance since that time attests to its immense popularity.

The performance of the Toyota Camry in the United States has been simply amazing. Not only has it been the best-selling car for four straight years now, it has also been the country's best seller in eight of the last nine years. It has consistently topped its mid-size competitors such as the Honda Accord and the Chevrolet Impala in that period.

Reports say that plans are currently afoot to launch a hybrid Camry later this year as well a fully redesigned version of the Camry in 2007. The general expectation is that Toyota Camry set to be unveiled Monday at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the sedan likely will set the bar high for its competitors.

Understandably, Toyota has been mum about the new Camry, hardly releasing any details. However, according to Jim Press, president and chief operating officer of Toyota Motor Sales USA Inc., it will offer better style, technology and drivability. And it will build on the reputation the nameplate has established in previous incarnations.

Press said he expects the company this year to sell about the nearly the same as the 432,000 Camrys it sold in 2005, but may lose some sales as it switches from offering the old model. He said Toyota strives to keep Camry's style timeless while keeping in mind the goal of a well-balanced car that satisfies drivers' needs.

Ohio Schools Walnut Hills High School At Carnegie Hall

New York Citys Carnegie Hall is world renowned for hosting the worlds best artists all of whom have considered it an honor and privilege to perform there. In April 2007, the Hall will host the National Invitational Band and Orchestra Festival.

The festival is sponsored by Field Studies International, allowing high school musical groups from across the country to compete using a recorded audition tape. This year, 18 groups have won the coveted opportunity to perform on the stage at Carnegie Hall. Frank Battisti of the New England Conservatory, Craig Kirchhoff of the University of Minnesota, and H. Robert Reynolds of the University of Southern Carlifornia will judge the event, providing recorded comments and a recording of the performance for each musical group. The wind ensemble at Ohio schools Walnut Hills in Cincinnati is one of the 18 groups selected for the final competition at Carnegie Hall.

While most Ohio schools were cutting back on their music programs, the Ohio schools Walnut Hills was maintaining its 11 bands. Kerry Kruze, music teacher at the Ohio schools Walnut Hills, believes that students thrive on the arts. The participants in the wind ensemble play with amazing precision and brilliant sound, according to Kruze, proving that music is not just for kids whose parents can afford it.

Besides the ensemble, the Ohio schools Walnut Hills has a choir, an orchestra, a band, a jazz ensemble, and a steel drum program. Walnut Hills clearly pushes their music programs the same as their academics and their music programs continue to grow.

The ensemble ranks as one of the best bands in the nation with 69 musicians. It is the top performing band of the 11 musical groups from the school and competes at the highest level of competitions, sponsored by the Ohio Music Education Association. The Ohio schools ensemble practices in the basement of the school, an aging accommodation with a leaky roof.

The Ohio schools group will be playing four college-level pieces, one of which is Leonard Bernsteins difficult Overture to Candide. It has taken a lot of hard work and practice for the ensemble, who plans to be perfecting their performance right up until they leave for New York.

After they received the invitation to compete at Carnegie Hall in October, the cost of transportation and accommodations while in New York became a problem. The ensemble members and their families sold pizzas, magazines and other fundraising activities for four months. In the end, the Ohio schools group had raised $1,000 per person plus extra funds from the bands booster group.

While in New York, the ensemble and their chaperones will see a Broadway show, visit museums, take in a jazz show at Birdland jazz club, and see the sights of the city.

Baby Car Seats: Essential For Your Babys Protection

The many car collisions every year, which are consequential to demises and agonies of little children have called for making use of an additional car protection piece of equipment: baby car seats.

A good number of general problems of nearly all parents are selecting the finest baby car seats from amongst the scores of alternatives - each one with its individual protection aspect - that are being put across in the marketplace. The response to this is anything that fits the baby at ease, fits in the car securely and is inside the financial plan is the finest baby car seat, which any person can come across.

Every one of the baby car seats, or for that subject all that has got to do with automobile protection, has to clear the similar federal crash trails and security features. Baby car seats, which are agreed upon by the authorities has the guarantee of protection, and the goals that are laid down has to be cleared by every one of the companies. It is pointless to state, that even the most low priced baby car seats put across in the marketplace had to go through the similar crash trails and will at all times save the children from harm against collisions, given that these are appropriately set up.

Additional aspects are all right but all that adds up to the price of the baby car seats. Exorbitant charges do not all the time stand for the most excellent, because there is no most excellent car baby seat. A few additional aspects will merely be significant if it can be made use of but the car seat have got to fit the baby foremost.

After you have selected the baby car seat, which you approve of, the subsequent article on your listing is to go through the company instruction guide. The most luxurious and numerous aspects baby car seats will be of no utilization if the companys instruction booklet is not studied in detail because they might have unique necessities in relation to particular fittings and utilization.

In any case, the similar standard will be relevant. Infants and children, who weigh up less than twenty lbs, ought to be made to sit in the direction of the back of the vehicle. If the kid is by now a year old but still less than the requisite weight restrictions, then the suitable baby car seat have got to be the convertible sort but the kid still has to be made to sit in the direction of the back. The convertibles are capable to be built in to look at the fore, which may possibly be a fine readiness when the kid goes beyond the weight restrictions.

Car seats for just infants are little transportable seating that are frequently a component of a baby carriage. It has 3 to 5 point strap ups and is able to be made use for kids till the weight of twenty two lbs. The seat is typically obtainable with a removable bottom for ease because it suggests that you are no longer needed to set up the seat each time it is made use of.

Larger baby car seats are made use for bigger and older kids and they usually face the front. Similar to the baby car seats for just infants, this is obtainable with a 5-point strap up as well. Additional aspect is a T-Shield with a padding, which is joined to the shoulder band and a tray with padding like above the head guards that dangle down about the kid.

Key Accessories Can Increase The Nintendo WII Price

The Nintendo Wii is the hottest gaming system on the market. Even now many retailers are sold out and awaiting new shipments of this revolutionary game system with its remote sensing control system. The Nintendo Wii is a hot commodity, and like any commodity the laws of supply and demand are in play, and high demand can often equate to high prices. If you are one of the millions of people considering a purchase of the Wii System then you are probably among those for whom the Nintendo Wii price is a consideration.

Fortunately, the Nintendo Wii price is at a point that is affordable for most people, and for approximately $249.99 USD you can jump right in almost literally and begin playing the game that everyone is talking about. However, the $250 dollar price point only gets you the basic Wii package, which includes one game Wii Sports one controller, the sensor bar, and the assorted power cords needed to plug in and play. While this assortment is more than capable of getting you up and running, the $250 Nintendo Wii price does not include many items you are sure to want as soon as you tire of playing Wii Sports against the computer.

One way to avoid endless shopping for additional games and accessories is to purchase a Nintendo Wii bundle from a retailer who offers such deals. Various retailers offer bundles all inclusive package deals that include the Wii system as well as additional memory, additional controller, and several additional game titles. While such packages can greatly increase the Nintendo Wii price by $200 to $400 dollars depending on the number of games and their titles it can give you all you need, and more, to get started gaming.

The Nintendo Wii price, without accessories, is roughly $250. But it is the accessories that make the Wii such a powerful and dynamic system, and the Nintendo Wii price does not include those additional items. While new game titles will cost roughly $50 each, it is not the new games that will take your Wii to new heights; it is the add-ons. A second controller and Nunchuk - secondary controller that plugs into the primary, wireless controller; the Wiimote will cost approximately $60. For those who wish to offset the Nintendo Wii price by continuing to play games from their Nintendo GameCube, they may need to purchase a GameCube controller if they do not already have one ($25). Further, if you want to save your ongoing GameCube games like you could do on the original GameCube then a memory card is needed ($25). For roughly the same prices as the memory card, an SD card 1 GB of additional memory can be purchased allowing you to download classic games through an Internet connection.

Like other accessories, Internet connectivity is not included in the Nintendo Wii price, and a wireless Wi-Fi USB connector is required ($100 and up). And if you want to see the fruit of your investments in the quality of High Definition, then a component video adapter is needed to deliver that crystal clear picture ($20).

After reading a list such as this one it is easy to wonder what you really get for that $250 Nintendo Wii price. The truth is that you get a lot, but if you want more and you want to maximize the capabilities of the system then investing in accessories that cost above and beyond the Nintendo Wii price will deliver exactly that. Fortunately, you dont have to buy them all at once.

Got Your Eye On An Iphone? Heres The Latest

The iPhone goes on sale on June 29th, are you ready? Read the latest tips on snagging your own iPhone.

Do you have your heart set on an iPhone? You may want to get in line now. A May poll by research firm M:Metrics revealed that about 19 million U.S. cell phone users are ready to fork over as much as $599 for the new iPhone. Thats almost what Bernstein Research predicts Apple will sell through 2008.

The new iPhone will go on sale June 29 and all indications are the demand will be huge. AT&T is hiring 2000 temporary workers to help with the launch. Apple CEO Steve Jobs has forecast sales of 10 million iPhones in the first 18 months a conservative estimate based on independent research.

AT&T nabbed the iPhone exclusive early on. M:Metrics analyst Mark Donovan said "Two-thirds of the people who said they have a strong interest in buying an iPhone currently subscribe to AT&T's three biggest competitors." He added "In this mature market, it's all about stealing customers from competitors."

Even the hefty price tag as much a $599 with a two year contract does not seem to discourage potential buyers. It is still unclear what plan AT&T will require with the iPhone but you can be sure the lure of technology will overpower the fear of the unknown. Donovan noted that once the initial group gets its iPhones contract pricing may be a barrier to some buyers.

Because of the youthful demographic, T-Mobile customers seem to have the most interest in changing. According to the M:Metrics survey, 12.5% of T-Mobile subscribers expressed a high interest in buying the iPhone, compared to 8.1% for Sprint Nextel customers and 6.7% for Verizon users.

Here are a few iPhone shopping tips.

Get your www.CellForCash.com transaction started right away. You can have your box by the time you get your iPhone and some cash in your pocket to help you get past the sticker shock.

AT&T spokesman John Kampfe says "The iPhone will be availableonly in AT&T-owned retail stores, Apple retail stores and through Apple's online store. Check out Apple's online store on June 29. According to Steve Jobs the iPhone is set to go on sale at 6 p.m. that day. But forget trying AT&T's site; the company says it won't be selling iPhones online, at least initially.

Call a few local AT&T stores and see if you can get on their waiting lists or if your local sales representative has any tips about how that particular store is handling requests.

Show up early at an Apple store or company-owned AT&T store before they open on June 29. The big question is how many phones each store will stock.

Wait until the June 29 launch mania dies down and hope that AT&T and Apple decide to allow locally owned AT&T agents to sell the iPhone.

AT&T Inc. has spent $50 million on its network in anticipation of the heightened activity expected to follow the iPhone's debut on the 29th, anyone willing to break their existing contract can expect to pat $175 on top of the cost of the new gadget.

Apple is hyping this product like no other and its far from over. Stay tuned for more info as we get it.

An Apple Fan's Review of the MacBook

First, the bad stuff. Sadly, there are 1 or 2 dead pixels on the glossy wide-screen, but a quick look around the Internet and I've realized there's not a lot of point taking it back because low end TFTs can suffer from dead pixels. It's only when you pay more for a "pixel-perfect" display that there is a return policy on dead pixels. Oh well.

That aside, it has all the trade marks of a classic Apple product. The packaging was superb, and minimal. In fact, I've noticed a trend in packaging. My new Sony Rescission K310i from Orange came in a box barely big enough to fit everything in. It's good to see manufacturers producing packaging solutions that are both functional and well designed.

Once out the box, the MacBook looks simply stunning. The outer casing is a similar white polycarbonate (I believe) to the iBook. Opening the MacBook is a joy - there are no latches or buttons, it's all magnetically done. Opened, the MacBook is a departure to Apple laptops of the past. The keyboard keys are spaced out more and flatter, and the casing is the same ceramic-like material that is found on the base of the Mac Mini.

The connections on the left of the MacBook are the usual stuff, with one notable exception - the MagSafe power connection. It's a small, rectangular port and is also magnetically charged. When plugging in the power adaptor, the connector literally snaps into place due to the magnet. Very neat. The concept is simple, if the power cord is ripped out, instead of pulling the laptop with it, the MagSafe connector just comes out.

Powering up is quick and simple, and after the standard Tiger set up, we're up and running. Only a password was required to connect to my wireless network (new MacBooks have Airport built in) and a few more minutes tinkering had the MacBook set up how I like my Macs to be.

The first noticeable thing is how bright the 13.3 inch display is compared to my old 12 inch Powerbook. I can see me having to turn the brightness down to avoid headaches. The keyboard, which I was worried about, turns out to be almost as usable as a standard keyboard, with lovely positive feedback. Again, a definite improvement over my Powerbook.

After a few minutes playing on the Internet and trying to fix the couple of dead pixels (to no avail) I had a good play, running a few apps to see how the machine responded. General OS stuff is super quick (although the Quad Xeon I played with in the Trafford Centre was slightly quicker!).

From what I've seen so far, I'm impressed. With a 2GHz Intel chip, 1 Gig of RAM and an 80 Gig hard drive, it's got plenty to keep me going (although one of the first websites I visited was Crucial to price up the 2 Gig kit).

My Review of the JVC Digital Video Camera

My brother is an amateur film-maker. It was he who introduced me to the wonderful JVC digital video camera. He loved it so much that I was tempted to buy one of my own. After a few years I finally had enough dough to purchase my very own JVC digital video camera. I had no idea that I would be in for quite a surprise.

After buying it I began a thrilling adventure as an amateur film-maker. The quality you get from this amazing camera was close to that of feature length films made in Hollywood. As long as you have proper lighting, and acquire a competent sound boom, you can make a decent movie with the help of a JVC digital video camera. All at the cost of the camcorder and the editing software needed to put your movie together.

I become hooked with the idea of being a film-maker after trying out my JVC digital video camera. Watching movies is great, but it pales in comparison to the thrill you can get from making your own movie. I was also able to involve my fiends in my new found hobby.

We would fashion out a script and with my JVC digital video camera and a few necessary filming equipment, we were on our way in making a potential blockbuster. It usually takes a couple of weeks to finish a respectable twenty minute film.

We would then get together and watch the finished product and try to figure out ways to improve our project. The JVC digital video camera is also excellent for filming the final project. WE entered our project in a amateur movie contest and although we have yet to win a competition our work elicited a good bit of encouraging feedback.

How To Lose The Pooch Belly- Removing the Belly Bulge

How to lose the pooch belly- Removing the Belly Bulge

It would not be wrong to say that half the people in the entire world suffer from the problem of obesity and excess weight. With the modern lifestyle becoming increasingly becoming static and no physical activity, a large number of people including youngsters below 30 years of age are becoming obese. It is observed that obese people normally have an out of shape belly. Both, men and women have a common tendency of developing a large and protruding tummy. This is due to an increasing concentration of fats near the stomach area. There are several exclusive exercises which are essential for removing this bulging belly.

Steps to Lessen a Bulging Belly

There are many steps which can be successfully implemented to reduce a swollen tummy. These steps are actually known to the people, but since they are difficult to follow they are not very much implemented. The first step is to exercise perfectly and follow the exclusive stomach exercises. These exercises include brisk walking, sit-ups and abdominal crunches. Brisk walking is a great way to regulate body metabolism and burn excess fats especially belly fats. Sit-ups and abdominal crunches do not actually help in burning excess fats but are essential in strengthening abdominal muscles and flattening the bulge. Belly flattening exercises need not always be well defined. Even some normal household work and chores are great belly exercises. Work like gardening and other work which involves physical activities like bending, lifting, twisting etc are all great exercises for flattening the belly bulge.

To lessen excess belly fats and flatten the tummy, the individuals must be very careful of their diet. They must refrain from eating fatty and high calorie foodstuffs. They must strictly have a diet which contains lots of fresh and green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and less oily substances. They must avoid sweets and keep it to a minimal. Individuals must avoid desserts, creamy and fried foodstuffs. These are the main causes for developing belly pouch and thus must be avoided at all costs. Excess sugar is the most important reason for developing a large tummy and hence sugars must be kept at a low minimum.

A reason given lately for people developing a belly pouch is the stress which has become so much a part of the modern lifestyle. It is a bit difficult to believe, but stress is a cause for obesity and developing large tummy. Increase in stress results in an increase in the level of hormone called cortisol which is responsible for developing excess and unwanted belly fats. Individuals must try to reduce stress levels and involve themselves in healthy physical activities, stress busters and recreational activities.

Signing Off

Generally when people become fat it is the belly that goes out of shape. It makes the entire body form is disturbed and it looks very ugly too. Thus when individuals begin to develop even a little bit of belly pouch, they must immediately take steps to flatten and have a regular exercise regime.

Great First Date Ideas

You can get so sidetracked picking the right outfit and waxing your car; you forget to find something better to do than the boring dinner and movie. Let us help. Here are some excellent choices for first date ideas:

Comedy Theater
Laughing together can break the ice better than anything else. Take in a comedy show and relax together whilst you giggle away the evening. Just avoid too much alcohol or offensive performers.

Billiards
If youre looking for a casual way to relate to each other and break the ice, try a friendly game of pool. Eight Ball is simple to understand, and if things really go well, you might be able to help her improve her break.

Miniature Golf
So eighteen holes would be a bit much for almost any date, but ten holes of putt-putt might be right up your alley. Nobody does exceptionally well at miniature golf, but it is always fun to play especially if you cheat a little bit every now and then. Let those secrets help bring you closer.

Dinner Theater
There is nothing wrong with dinner and show, but try a show that sizzles. Skip the cinema, and find a quality dinner theater. Watch professionals act without the assistance of computer animated special effects whilst you enjoy a meal together. The arts are always an excellent choice.

Coffee
There is no need to sign away your entire evening to a first date. Start small. Try meeting for coffee just to size each other up. If a coffee date goes well, extend the date by heading off for grander adventures together.

Concert
While a heavy metal concert might not be the best place to try and get to know each other, a concert in the park or jazz festival might be perfect. Appreciate music together and have a basis for continuous conversation.

Museum
Who says a date cant be educational? Enjoy an art or history museum and learn together. If you havent visited a museum lately, you might be amazed at the exhibits available.

Picnic
Picnics can be romantic or casual, and for a first date you should shoot for the latter. Grab a few basics and head out to the park or beach. Enjoying a meal out of doors is relaxing and a perfect opportunity to get to know each other better.

Botanical Garden
Surround yourself in natural beauty at botanical gardens. Quiet strolls through rose bushes and koi ponds offer a sense of peace and tranquility. It would not be advisable to pick any of the flowers for your date, but you can certainly bring along a camera and take pictures together.

Ice Cream
Are you not ready to commit to a full-scale date? Try something simple like ice cream. Find a good ice cream shop and let yourself go wild. Diets dont exist on first dates, so get an extra scoop and then enjoy the afternoon together as you stroll and visit.

Craigslist Holiday Advertising

The holidays are just around the corner. Soon lights will line the roof tops and the hustle and bustle will begin as holiday shoppers search for those perfect gifts. Not only will shopping malls transform but online traffic will increase as this busy season comes to life.

As online shopping becomes more and more popular, its no wonder sites like Craigslist have caught the attention of both buyers and sellers. Each month over 10 million people visit Craigslist.org to buy or sell just about anything.

Craigslist was launched in 1995 and has become the 7th most popular website. Amongst personals, housing and job postings, there are twenty four for sale categories and fourteen service categories to choose from. The beauty of Craigslist is that searching or posting ads is completely free, except for job postings in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Unlike other classified sites or auction sites like EBay, which charge fees, Craigslist offers a value Marketers can take advantage of; free listings targeted to a specific city or region.

For the online or brick and mortar store, advertising on Craigslist is a great alternative to costly advertising fees from traditional sources. Not only do ads have the potential of reaching a phenomenal number of people, but can be seen by people looking specifically for items or services in that particular category. Posting to Craigslist is easy. Keep in mind, a simple design that matches the down-to-earth feel of the Craigslist community will be most effective. For best results, post ads in the most relevant categories. Creativity in posting to other less logical, but relevant categories can be a great advantage as well. An ad must be legitimate. Content should be concise, accurately portrayed and stand out among other similar listings. Careful attention to proper spelling, grammar and punctuation help to create legitimacy. Familiarizing oneself with Craiglists terms and conditions will contribute to a more positive experience. Besides simply posting ads, answering ads seeking those products or services is also a great way of generating business.

Buyers looking to take advantage of wholesale or discounted prices, will find that Craigslist is a convenient place to shop with an easy to navigate site. Crowded shopping malls can be avoided by searching local listings in a region, with 24/7 access to the World Wide Web. New and used, unusual and unique are the items that can be found when shopping on Craigslist.

Common sense should be used when engaging with online sellers. If the item purchased is being shipped to the buyer, buyer should obtain the contact information of the seller in case the item doesnt arrive. If the transaction will take place in person, a safe, public meeting place should be chosen and never a secluded one.

These tips and recommendations will help buyers and sellers make the most of the holidays by taking advantage of online shopping and free advertising on Craigslist.

The Power Of Supermarkets And Changing Attitudes?

More and more concerns have been raised about the impact of the supermarket giants both on food production as well as on workers rights.

A recent report by War on Want and the British GMB, investigating the case of Wal-Mart (ASDA), shows how the relentless pursuit of supermarkets of the lowest possible prices has a negative impact on the supermarkets local communities as well as their suppliers, often based in the poorest countries of the world.

A few years ago, the supermarket retailer Safeway (now owned by Asda AKA Wal-mart) sent letters to their farmer suppliers asking for a contribution of 20,000 per product line, in order to improve marketing of the products. They went on to invoice their suppliers for these sums. Supermarkets have tended to only do business with the largest scale suppliers at the lowest cost wherever they may be located. Next time you go to the supermarket take a closer look at the food labels, you will see New Zealand lamb and vegetables from Israel. But this is not what most shoppers would choose - when asked, they say they prefer British farm food. Supermarkets are moving towards this as many are now offering vegetable and meat box schemes stocked only with local and often organic food. Many small firms have spent years building organic box schemes and organic delivery into a viable business only for supermarkets to jump in on the act as it becomes more mainstream.

Britains supermarkets are damaging British business, are bad for consumers and bad for the environment. Farmers and consumers are paying the price of its uncontrolled expansion here and overseas. MPs must act now to curb the growing market power of supermarkets and ensure that Britains booming supermarket industry does not kill off farmers, consumer choice and the traditional British high street.

The UK Competition Commission has been called upon to look at the actions of supermarkets which many say are damaging almost everything that they touch.

Tesco controls nearly one third of the UK grocery market, setting the standard across the retail sector. But while the company boasts about its commitment to fair trade and corporate responsibility, a new report from Friends of the Earth shows that Tescos practices are putting many UK farmers out of business; while on the high street, some 2,000 independent stores went out of businesses in the last year alone, unable to compete with promotions and planning and taxation policies which favour the multiples over smaller shops.

One in five people think that supermarkets are most influential when planning decisions get made, over the council or local people. Often people cannot get obtain planning permission to build an extension yet the supermarkets are often granted permission to build huge stores the size of football stadiums

But, things are changing for the better

Supermarkets are trialing having tractors deliver goods straight to the supermarket door to save on food miles.

Tesco are installing solar panels and using renewable energy in certain stores to show how green they are becoming.

Waitrose has started its own fair-trade scheme. The cash has been raised as part of the food retailers initiative to return a sizeable proportion of profits it earns on sales of citrus fruits to the farmers who grow them.

Ikea is to become the UKs first major retailer to regularly charge customers for plastic bags, to try and tackle waste and environmental damage.

The success of Marks & Spencers ethical marketing drive that urged shoppers to "look behind the label" has dwarfed all its previous advertising campaigns, according to research from a leading City brokerage.

Supermarket Sainsburys is to sell more than 500 of its own-brand products in compostable packs instead of plastic as it seeks to cut packaging waste. It says the scheme, already trialled on some of its organic range, will save 3,550 tonnes of plastic a year.

Is this a genuine change in attitudes by the supermarkets or merely a change in public relations direction to ensure they get all the green pounds that tend to be spent in local markets and shops? Ill let you decide.

Sharing the Apple iPod

The iPod, while standing as a technological marvel, perhaps will ultimately claim its place in history as a connector of societies and people.Yes, everyone knows and appreciates the fact that the iPod, or one of the other versions of the iPod, such as the iPod Nano can store, list and play hundreds, if not thousands of songs. The iPod's most powerful ability is the one that brings people together. The Apple iPod will never bring world peace, but it may bring together two strangers. When an iPod user sees another iPod user, a bond is created. Those ubiquitous white ear buds are more than just something that delivers music from the player to the listener. The ear buds act as the symbol and insignia of the iPod revolution. The iPod has something unique that can't really be translated into other forms of portable technology. The iPod is both personal and shared; everyone has an iPod story, or they accessorize their iPod in a certain manner. And, most important of all, many iPod owners and users are dying to either share the music on their iPod with a fellow iPod user, or is interested in listening to what's on someone else's iPod.

There are instances where people ask other iPod users 'what are you listening to on your iPod?' The Apple iPod Nano has a common element that isn't found in a Walk man, Disc man or a Blackberry. It is inconceivable that someone would walk up to a Blackberry user and inquire about the phone list that they have stored. Granted, a phone list is to be more protected than a music play list, but song selection is much more personal than the phone number of your hairstylist.

Seeing someone else with an iPod can sometimes create a sense of comraderie. The Apple iPod is, without question, the world's most popular portable music player. However, even though it has and enjoys tremendous popularity, not everyone has an iPod. And you can't really understand the iPod culture until you actually own an iPod.The Apple iPod is truly unique and stands alone in terms of appearance, design and accessories. And once you become a member of the iPod family, you want to meet all of your relatives. And you also want to share, and have music, shared with you.

Will the iPod open the lines of communication around the world and get people talking, listening and sharing? No, it won't do that, unfortunately. But, what it can do is that it can introduce iPod listener A to iPod listener B and exchange music, ideas, and maybe even an email address or two. Think about it: if you were in a foreign country, and wanted to know what was popular among the youth of said country, the best way to do so would be to listen to the music of the land. And, depending on your demeanor, most people with an Apple iPod Nano would be receptive to sharing their music with you. That doesn't mean running up to someone like a madman, trying to shove your ear buds into their skull. Rather, simply introduce yourself and your purpose, and you may find someone who is on the same mission as you!

Types Female Orgasm Document

Two Types of Female Orgasms

One of the biggest misconceptions people have about female orgasms is that they are all created equal. The truth is that not all orgasms are the same: they may all be equally pleasurable but they are generally arrived at through different means.

Basically, there are two types of female orgasms: vaginal and clitoral. In this chapter, we're going to briefly discuss both types. This will provide you with some background that you'll need when we can begin experimenting with orgasm-producing techniques a little later in the book.

Vaginal Orgasm

As you'll recall from the first chapter, this type of orgasm was the only type Freud and other men of his time felt to be legitimate types of sexual pleasure for women to experience. Unfortunately for women, only about 20% can receive an orgasm through vaginal stimulation alone. The other 80% need something a little extra.

Before we get into that, let me explain exactly what we mean by vaginal orgasm. A vaginal orgasm occurs solely because of stimulation of the vagina. That stimulation is usually in the form of the thrusting of the male penis during vaginal intercourse.

The reason most women do not receive an orgasm just from penetration is that the vagina is not a highly sensitive area. This is actually a good thing. Remember that the vagina is not just used for sex but also for delivering babies. If the inside walls of the vagina were made up of concentrated nerve endings like we find in the nipple, the clitoris, or the penis, then childbirth would be even more difficult for women.

In fact, only the first two inches of the vagina are sensitive at all. So why do some women have orgasms solely from vaginal stimulation? The answer is they probably aren't. Women who report vaginal orgasms benefit from their anatomy. In some women, the labia minora are formed in such a way that vaginal penetration actually causes the labia to rub against or gently pull on the clitoris. This, not vaginal stimulation, is leading to the orgasm in most cases. Technically, however, this would still be considered a vaginal orgasm because there is not direct stimulation of the clitoris.

Another reason why some women report having vaginal orgasms is that the shape of the penis and their preferred position allow for stimulation of the G-spot. Because the G-spot is linked to increased pleasure and may also induce orgasms, this is another possibility worth considering.

The bottom line here though is that vaginal orgasms are not common. Men and women need to realize that penetration is often not going to be enough to accomplish the goal. The good news is that gives both partners an excuse to experiment with some new things, including some we'll discuss later in the book.

Clitoral Orgasm

By far the most common way for a woman to regularly reach orgasm is through direct or indirect clitoral stimulation. Before we just into that subject, I think it may help to share with you some information about the clitoris.

The clitoris is located just by the vaginal entrance and behind the labia minora. In most women, it is a small nub of flesh which contains a high concentration of nerve endings which make it highly sensitive. It is often covered by a clitoral hood. Many people don't realize that only a small portion of the clitoris is actually visible. The remainder of the organ is surrounded by the rest of the reproductive system and extends all the way to the bottom of the pubic bone.

Two things are particularly interesting about the clitoris. First, all female mammals have a clitoris. This is interesting because the sole purpose, at least according to biologists, of the clitoris is sexual pleasure. That would seem to mean that humans aren't the only ones who enjoy the way sex feels.

Second, the clitoris is made from the same material as the penis. In fact, in men the clitoris becomes a full-fledged penis after the embryo is exposed to testosterone in the womb. Just like the penis, the clitoris fills with blood and becomes erect during sexual arousal. The clitoral hood is essentially the same as the foreskin of a penis.

The only real difference between a clitoris and a penis besides location in the body seems to be that the penis is also used for urination while the clitoris is not.

With that said, its important to realize that the clitoris is really similar in size to the penis, even though most of it cannot be seen. Vibrations through the pelvic region caused by intercourse could stimulate the nerve endings in the unseen part of the clitoris as well and this can also cause orgasms.

What many people don't realize about the clitoris is that the penis alone usually cannot stimulate it. Because of its position in the woman's body, the ability of the penis to provide rhythmic stimulation to the clitoris is extremely difficult. That means traditional intercourse usually needs to be coupled with clitoral stimulation.

The question is how does one engage in clitoral stimulation. Some male partners take the approach that the women should be responsible for the stimulation themselves, which has always seemed a bit unfair to me since the woman is providing him with the stimulation he needs to reach orgasm. However, this is one way to deal with it.

Another method is by, what I like to call multi-tasking. Multi-tasking basically means the man does more than one thing at the same time. For example, he may be penetrating the vagina while also stimulating the clitoris in one way or another (we'll discuss those ways a little later). If the couple wants to achieve orgasm at or near the same time, this is clearly the best option.

Other couples I've met with have resorted to an alternative approach. One person reaches orgasm at a time. Depending on how each person best reaches orgasm, this may be a possibility but it's usually not the most satisfactory approach.

The best thing about clitoral orgasms is that they can be achieved in many different ways. Because the entire area is highly sensitive, experimenting with these types of orgasms can also add some interest and spice to sexual relationships which may have become less enthusiastic over time.

And the key is experimenting because different women prefer different types of clitoral stimulation. While some prefer direct stimulation, others find it uncomfortable and prefer to have the area around the clitoris stimulated instead. Women who have masturbated will generally have a much better idea of what type of stimulation they prefer than women who have not.

Before we close this chapter, let's talk about what happens during a clitoral orgasm. As I mentioned above, the clitoris feels up with blood and becomes erect like a penis. This means its usually easier to spot when a woman is aroused. Because the clitoris does not need to be erect for sexual intercourse to occur, clitoral orgasms will only happen if the woman is aroused properly. That means some type of foreplay is generally a requirement. When the clitoris is stimulate repeatedly, it becomes more engorged with blood and this further heightens its sensitivity. With another stimulation a point is reached when all of the tension in the area must be released and this point is considered the orgasm.

Drinking From The Fire Hose

Recently, I attended a seminar on Internet business presented by Tim Knox (author and entrepreneur) and Jim Cockrum (author of The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay). During the seminar, Jim Cockrum said, learning about the Internet is like drinking from the fire hose. I was taken back with such an accurate saying since I have been researching the Internet for a couple of years and that is exactly what happened to me.

As is the case with most things I hear, I searched Google for more information on the saying and for the name of the person who coined it. However, I could not find any credit given for it. On Google, it was used quite often by graduate students at MIT to describe their experience in the graduate program.

The saying is so fitting for those of us who have undertaken the quest to learn all we can about what business opportunities are available on the Internet. Before the Internet, most of the research was done in the stacks of the library. There it was easy to keep focused since we were usually working on a single train of thought. With the Internet, one search generates another search and soon we do not know which one to follow in detail. I am speaking from experience, and I know that I am not alone when I say that I have been drinking from the fire hose.

The other saying I recently read described the situation when you have been drinking from the fire hose too long and you have gathered a voluminous data base of all that you have found on the Net. You start to analyze the data to chart your course for your Internet career and you cannot get started because of analysis paralysis. You just keep on researching rather than decide that you have enough information and take action. I can claim to have suffered from this too for a few weeks when it all just would not fit together.

Just remember drinking from a fire hose and analysis paralysis are common problems that we all face when we start researching the Internet. Just drink as fast as you can, and when you think you have drunk deeply enough of Internet wisdom, dont forget that the reason for all that research was to take action.
